"Everybody Loves Raymond" star Ray Romano is heading for a different kind of family drama.
The former "Men of a Certain Age" star has booked a multiple-episode arc on the upcoming fourth season of NBC's "Parenthod," the network announced Tuesday.

Romano will play a photographer and former photo journalist who befriends Sarah (Lauren Graham) and complicates her relationship with Mark (Jason Ritter). He'll first appear in Jason Katims drama's Season 4 premiere on Sept. 11.
The ensemble bubble series, which revolves around the Braverman family, was renewed last month for a fourth season.

Romano, repped by ICM Partners, the Conversation Co. and Del Shaw, most recently starred on TNT's short-lived "Men of a Certain Age." His recent credits include a stint opposite his former "Raymond"?co-star Patricia Heaton on ABC's "The Middle." On the big screen, he's among the voice cast in the "Ice Age"?features.
"Parenthood" returns Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10 p.m.on NBC.
