PHILADELPHIA (CBS) ? A local breast cancer survivor has developed her own clothing line, so she can feel and look good in summer tees and tank tops.

Dr. Deb Kimless-Garber had two issues after her double mastectomy and breast reconstruction.

?I didn?t love how I looked, even after the reconstruction. And the second was I had post-mastectomy pain, so clothes didn?t look right or feel right on my body.?

After searching in vain for clothes that looked good and felt comfortable, she developed her own line, Red Thread by Dr. Deb. She says the clothing helps relieve post surgical pain without medication.

?The one thought I had was, when you stub your toe, the first thing you do is curse. The second thing you do is grab your toe and squeeze and that squeezing is a real live pain-relieving mechanism.?

Her shirts offer a gentle squeeze around the chest, to relieve the discomfort. Her line also includes silicone breast shapers, so you look better in clothes and in your mirror.
