As per a research, which has been published in the journal Vaccine, it has been found that a vaccine has been prepared which directly targets a molecule that is present in the 90% of cancers. The development has given a hope of a universal cancer vaccine, which will be able to treat some of the common cancers, like prostate and breast cancer.

The study is at its early stages, and the scientists behind the vaccine are of the view that there are chances that the vaccine will be able to activate immune response to fight the cancer. The vaccine has been developed by drug company Vaxil Biotheraputics with the help of researchers at Tel Aviv University.

The study researchers and the drug company said that they are thinking to start larger trial, which will be able to tell the fate of the drug. Result of the new drug will be able to tell that whether or not the drug is able to treat a number of cancers.

The drug company said that the drug will more effective in treating the cancers, which have been diagnosed at an early stage. The study researchers said that they have come across a molecule called MUC1, which is found in the high amount on the top layer of the cancer cells.

They further affirmed that they have noticed a remarkable improvement in the cancer after only two to four drops of the vaccine. It is said that the vaccine will be available in the market in next six years.

Dr. Kat Arney, who is science information manager at Cancer Research UK, said, "There are several groups around the world investigating treatments that target MUC1, as it's a very interesting target involved in several types of cancer?.
