Lionel Messi is now the best goal-scorer in Europe for 40 years, since M?ller scored 67 goals in a single season.
Messi has scored 60 goals so far this season, 54 of them in the main competitions. 38 in the league, 14 in the Champions and 2 in the King?s Cup.
He scored two more on Saturday at La Romareda where the score against Zaragoza was 1-4.

The battle at the top of table is tighter today after Real Madrid were held to a goalless draw at home by Valencia. It means that Bar?a are just four points from the leader. It was a game of goalkeepers, and Cristiano asked unsuccessfully for a penalty on two occasions.

M?laga can go third in the table if they win tonight at home to Racing.
